Responsible for manufacturing locations with salaried and hourly workforce in Hungary, Belgium and Japan. Major customers are multinational truck, trailer and bus OEMs. Expansion of business included growth into Eastern/Central Europe, Russia, Turkey, Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities included leading the operational, financial, sales & marketing, application engineering and planning for the division. The division served the commercial vehicle, automotive, and defense markets with products used in a range of applications including aluminum space frames, specialized vacuum die cast products, as well as a variety of other components for these markets. Profit and loss accountability for $150M in revenue, 300 employees, four operating units (Italy, Germany, Hungary and U.S). This was a turnaround role that required restructuring. Executed strategies that include the divesture of our European automotive operations and establishing a new strategic three year plan for the U.S. operation.

Lead strategic marketing efforts for the automotive and commercial vehicle wheel businesses. Directed marketing efforts on a global basis with teams from each of the Alcoa Wheel Products locations in North America, Europe, and Asia. Responsibilities include pricing, promotion, product development and channel strategy. Engaged product teams and sales to define key selling propositions that translate into sales & marketing materials, client communications and press initiatives. Created channel and strategic partnerships to expand brand awareness. Strategy included both B2B marketing and B2C marketing.

Define, communicate, and execute Alcoa’s strategy in the Global Commercial Transportation sector. This role maintained and communicated market sector analysis; identified, developed, and executed opportunities for profitable growth; directed deep-dive marketing projects; and drove Alcoa’s focus on commercial transportation customers and markets. Responsibilities include maintaining growth in North America and Europe and positioning for growth in China and other emerging economies.
