As a part of a team, performed the duties to ensure customers a satisfying experience when migrating from their current infrastructure to a highly available flexible virtual cloud system. Once the migrations are completed, assist with the day-to-day operations for the end-users. Duties include some of the following:Migrating services from older infrastructure to VMWare vCloud based system or a proprietary created a system (Current Vorbi Infrastructure). These services include Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, Exchange and file services to name a few.Working within a VMWare based environment (VCenter 6.x and ESXi 6.x) created and maintained virtual environments for VDI and servers. Creating VMWare Horizon (6.x and 7.x) environments for end customers to deploy to end-users (Windows 7 and 10) including creating and updating Master Images, deploying pools of VDI’s for end-users.Maintaining the client's infrastructures via direct support to the end-users and monitoring of systems to ensure services are being delivered in a proper fashion.Ensure networks are available via different protocols as needed.

Brought in following the departure of the I.T. Director to assist the interim director a handle and understanding of the I.T. infrastructure. Performed the following duties:Install and configured new ESXi hosts to replace old hosts in VMWare environment.Assist outside vendors with hardware firmware updates and software updates.Assist end users with fixing issues with Outlook following the corruption of the Exchange databases.Assist end users with day to day issues on the network.

As of June of 2014, I moved from a Full Time Employee to a Contractor position.Performing duties from the bottom to top for a well established managed services provider. Duties Include:Networking from firewall to end user. Deploy, setup, maintain, and repair pass and current server (tower, rack-mount and blade) and desktop technologies. Deploy, setup and maintain various pass and current Microsoft Operating Systems and Server and Desktop based applications.Deploy, setup and maintain virtualized environments in both VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V.Deploy, setup and maintain Symantec based Antivirus and Backup solutions.Deploy, setup, maintain and repair HP based storage units (MSA and 3PAR) using direct-attached and ISCSI connections.Deploy, setup and maintain various virtualized appliances according to their needs.Deploy, setup and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server (2003, 2007, 2010).Deploy, setup and maintain HP based software for monitoring and maintenance (Systems Insight Manager, Systems Update Manager, etc)

Through various agencies completed jobs for the Social Security Agency, City of Fullerton, Ameriquest, KB Homes and Washington Mutual. These jobs included distribution and setup of new computers (desktops and laptops) which required integration into the existing network (setting up email accounts, network printers, access to central storage server, setting up VPN and wireless connections), changing over systems from Netware to Active Directory, creating new user accounts, migrating user settings to new accounts, distribution and setup of network printers, replacing hard drives and setting up the system to be integrated into the existing network using Windows XP Professional Edition.

Performed troubleshooting and break/fix on laptops and desktop systems running Windows 9X-XP and solved problems for customers, including: video, sound, networking (cabled and wireless). Upgrades and new build of systems for customers while installing new operating systems and peripherals (scanners, printers). Implemented full office networking to allow file and print sharing abilities and set up IP addresses and email configurations, as well as installation of security programs such as anti-virus and firewalls.

Performed troubleshooting, break/fix, and setup of computers using Windows 2000 for the casino and hotel staff. Created initial file sharing capabilities and managed the internal email server. Repair and troubleshooting of slot machines and their network link to the central player tracking and WAP (Wide Area Progressive) servers.
