Hey, I'm Scott Knox, and I'm a Staff Software Engineer at Jack Henry & Associates. I've spent most of my career building and testing distributed systems in industries of all kinds, and tackling the unique challenges faced by each. As with most modern enterprise engineers, my skills cover a wide range of focus; I'm certified as an associate cloud engineer in GCP, but have experience in other clouds, with most technologies therein. Devops, Databases of all kinds, Kubernetes, you name it!I have a particular passion for test automation, and have put a lot of time into crafting as-close-to-perfect test strategies as I can at each company. Truth be told, I don't know that any company will have it perfect, but it sure is rewarding seeing a solid balance of unit/integration and higher level testing of some form run across a complicated release. At this point, I've become fairly comfortable with almost every part of building or migrating a microservice architecture. Assisting with decomposition, event storming, assisting with architecture, configuration/secrets management, auth (phew, that one's always a doosie), coding services, aggregated logging, monitoring/alerting, heck, I can't hardly keep track of it all anymore. On a personal note: I like making people laugh a lot, and having an endless array of hobbies.
