He solves the client's problems so they can focus on their future business needs.Prior to joining Briggs, Scott served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edward Tamm, US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit, followed by a one-year clerkship with the Honorable William H. Rehnquist on the US Supreme Court. In addition, he practiced with the firm of Latham and Watkins in its Washington, D.C. office. Early lessons had a lasting impact on Scott. In the 8th grade, he interviewed lawyers in Albert Lea, MN, where he grew up, and learned that the legal profession provided intellectual challenge and the ability to be involved in the community. Scott's Dad was a community Banker and he learned at an early age what it meant to give back and provide trusted advice to business leaders to create better communities.
