2002~2011, Leader of order fulfillment system developing team Designing and developing and maintain daily operation of Newegg order fulfillment system. A, Shipping manifest system, which integrate with UPS, FedEx, USPS, Purolator, DHL… major carrier, include shipping rate calculation, customized shipping document print, and shipping notice, electronic manifest. Our system talks to hardware directly and speaks hardware low level language; all devices are drive by shipping system which brings very high efficiency. B, Order Picking System. Integrate Newegg internal system to conveyor systems, and pick to light system, and also developed our own RF picking system for slow moving SKUs as part of order picking system. C, Order fulfillment task manage and optimization. Include wave picking, conveyor traffic control, etc.; our system can ship out 22k packages per day in a 120 headcount warehouse by optimization. Our warehouses are very high efficiency warehouses in the nation. D, Developed a decentralized fulfillment system over 3 major USA fulfillment center. Offline fulfillment if high availability system, won’t affect by network brake, and each warehouses won’t affect each other in daily operation, this is taken advantage of order task & shipment notice system all transferred in messaging system and complicate system designing.2002~2004 Leader of warehouse manage system team.
