Inducted as an associate member, Mr. Dale is active in the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).Mr. Scott Dale's work as a freelance Cinematographer and Director of Photography served on commercials, television and full length features, including Mad Song, Citizens and Return To Babylon. He was applauded by critical review in the Los Angeles Times where he was called a "master of light and shadow". Mr. Dale also integrates ICVFX and Interactive LED Enhanced Environments Lighting, Reflections + Blue/Green Screen replacement using live, moving background plates for vehicle and actor process work and combined Virtual Production tracked camera work on stage.For the much anticipated 2023 Handbook of Virtual Production by the Visual Effects Society (VES), Mr. Dale was honored to write the chapter on Camera Characteristics for Virtual Production.
