I joined the fire sevice in 1985 with the Verona Volunteer Fire Department and found my career choice. I then beagn my continuing life long education in the fire service, I attended MATC for Fire Protection Technician along with certification at that time Firefighter III. EMT was completed also at this time with joining of the Fitchrona EMS service. Additional training continued through out with many certifications to follow.1994 I was hired to a fulltime position with the City of Madison Fire Department, where 20 years later I currently hold the rank of Lieutenant at station no. 7. In 1999 we moved to New Glarus and I joined the New Glarus Volunteer Fire Department, rising to to rank of Captain of Training. inwhich I held for 11 years until we moved out of the district,In 2010 I was hired as a paid on call Assistant Chief of training and Operations with Verona Fire. I also am a instructor with Stateline Farm Rescue since 2005. We specialize in farm related emergencies, Grain Bin rescue, tractor Rollover and Combine Entrapment. We are proud to say we where a featured Hands On Training Class (H.O.T.) at FDIC in 2013 and 2014.
