My thesis work at Lehigh has been highly hands-on, designing and building a fleet of 10 unmanned 1.2m boats using predominantly composite materials. As part of my research I have written software to aid in the design of self-righting boats, machined and turned parts, cut aluminum and foam molds for carbon fiber on CNC machines, made parts from these molds.
