Direction and management of a wide range of products and services in support of The Home Depot’s procurement activities in the US, Canada, and Mexico. These areas include the strategic planning and sourcing of over $3 billion in categories such as store fixtures, displays, signage, equipment, and rolling stock supporting new store opening and refresh programs. This also includes the sourcing and contract activities to support the construction group with our FBO (furnished by owner) program. The FBO program was devised to source construction items vendor direct, such as HVAC systems, Steel Joists, Concrete, lighting, Security Systems, and Switch Gear to name a few. From a goods and services standpoint I supported the acquisition contract maintenance and services to include forklifts, janitorial services, HVAC maintenance, parking lot repairs, roofing repairs, and racking inspections.•Developed and hired a dynamic procurement team that changed the perception of the internal customers from a non-performing group to one of the highest regarded teams in the company.•Instituted vendor forecasting models and inventory positions as well as an effective communication plan to the internal customer groups.•Acted as a change agent to centralize the indirect procurement functions and dramatically change the procurement team from a strictly transactional group, to one of strategic sourcing with focus on cost out and customer service.
