Responsible for working directly with the National Account Managers of large MRO suppliers on Master Supply Agreements. Implemented cost savings initiatives and developed supplier grids used for negotiation strategies to award new business opportunities. Supported new plant growth project with all procurement needs. Worked with West Coast plants on new supplier requests or any current supplier service issues.

Managed daily business operations of manufacturing can plant reporting to the Plant Manager. Responsible for managing our Plant Controller, Plant Buyer, Production Control Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Storekeeper, Administrative Clerk and 20 hourly warehouse personnel. Attended customer partnership meetings with our major customers Coca-Cola and Pepsi on a regular basis and was responsible for resolving production/transportation issues with them. Responsible for presenting operational/financial information to all employees.

Construct yearly budget and present at budget reviews. Prepare three major forecasts throughout the year, as well as monthly estimates to show projected plant performance compared to plan. Responsible for month end accounting close procedures and preparation of written financial reports for the Plant Manager and Corporate Financial Management. Present plant financial data on a quarterly basis to Salaried plant personnel. Supervise Purchasing and Storeroom personnel in their daily activities.

Assist with the consolidation of budgets, estimates and forecasts at the corporate level. Perform month end closing duties on financial items that were recorded on the corporate books. Preparation of performance review packet, which included an analysis of working capital, cash flow and income statement financial data. Work closely with Plant Controllers during the month on any issues/concerns that needed attention. Develop and implement several new financial reports based on requirements from Corporate Management.

Plan, supervise and execute several domestic plant audits for the Beverage and Food Divisions reporting results to Corporate Management. Perform various special projects for the packaging divisions and corporate, including fraud investigations, packaging reviews and a payroll audit. Responsible for performing consolidated audit procedures for our International Division over in China, as well as the corporate consolidation. Perform quarterly reviews of our Plastic Division, as well as interim audit procedures and reported results to our external auditors. Assist with the development of a risk-based software that allowed the internal audit department to identify key business risks so that department resources could be used efficiently and effectively.

Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of a risk-based audit plan focusing on risk significance and likelihood. Plan various audit engagements and special corporate projects at the direction of the Assistant Vice President - Internal Audit. Supervise and schedule audit seniors and staff to ensure that audit objectives were satisfied and audits were completed in a timely manner. Prepare audit reports at the conclusion of audit fieldwork for distribution to upper-level Management and appropriate personnel involved with the audit.

Responsible for managing our outsourcing property management audit arrangement with Arthur Anderson LLP. Responsibilities included, planning audit fieldwork, development of training program for Arthur Anderson LLP auditors, supervising Arthur Anderson LLP audit seniors and staff during audit fieldwork, writing internal audit reports, preparing the audit schedule and negotiating audit engagement fees with Arthur Anderson LLP Managers. Planned and executed various types of domestic and international audits, including construction audits, property management audits, fraud audits and other special projects as assigned by Internal Audit Director. Assist in the preparation of the annual internal audit department budget and semi-annual audit committee meeting agenda.

Performed annual financial statement audits for clients in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare and not-for-profit. Developed budgets for audits and supervised audit staff and interns during audit fieldwork. Worked closely with audit managers to ensure that all financial statement reporting requirements were adhered to and reports were issued promptly. Assist in firm recruiting efforts at college universities.
