Manage global Coromant R&D projects focusing on digital manufacturing to enable customers to improve machining efficiency. Drive activities with partners to develop products in digital and intelligent machining area. Work with institutes (MTConnect, CCAM, DMDII) to promote/develop digital manufacturing solutions.

Manage engineering department to support both standard and special cutting tools production. Drive global production technology projects across different Sandvik production units. Awarded "Sandvik Coromant Innovators of 2014" for leading the development of a web based system AMS.

Build a new department focusing on manufacturing process automation and software system development. Lead the department to develop CAD/CAM/CAPP and CMM solutions to support standard tools production.

Responsible for system development and integration within the production unit. Developed a data driven web MES system from scratch to support the life cycle of discrete manufacturing process. The system has been used for over 10 years in the daily manufacturing environment.

Perform original R&D work on developing algorithms and software for design and manufacturing integration funded by the US National Science Foundation. Develop techniques to integrate systems including 3D digital scanner, multi-axis CNC machine, 3D printer and CMM machine in product design and manufacturing environment.

Develop and implement an industrial automation system for manufacturing automation and process optimization. Conduct research on rapid manufacturing techniques funded by the Chinese National High-tech R&D Program.

Lead the project to convert and archive all paper drawings into digital files. Use and integrate CAD techniques for building material machinery design.
