After earning my Biology degree and joining the work force, I decided to pursue my interest in a legal career. I am interested in several different areas of law, and I am currently open to either litigation or transactional work. I look forward to learning more about employment, insurance, and corporate law.After my 1L year, I interned for the Honorable Richard D. Bennett at the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. As a 2L, I began working as a Student Circulation Desk Assistant at the law library. I also served as a staff member for the UNC Journal of Law and Technology Volume 25. I was fortunate to have my piece “Too Many, Too Late: The NFL’s Inverse Accessibility Issue and the New RPO” published in Volume 25, Issue 2 of JOLT.I am now JOLT's Executive Editor for Volume 26 and looking forward to a great 3L year. I spent summer 2024 at Clawson and Staubes in Greenville, SC, and at Oak Grove Technologies in Raleigh. My BackgroundIn 2019, I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Furman University. I have always loved wildlife and the outdoors, so after college I took a three month rehabilitation externship at the Wildlife Center of Virginia. Afterwards, I moved back to Baltimore and worked at Manor View Farm, a wholesale nursery in Maryland. Over the course of almost three years, I was a yard salesman, the assistant delivery coordinator/loading dock manager, and finally a sales account manager.I am an Eagle Scout and served as an Assistant Scoutmaster at my old Scouts BSA Troop between college and law school. I also completed Woodbadge National Leadership Training in 2022. In college, I was awarded the Furman University Excellence in Environmental Studies Award, as well as the Elizabeth Thackston Taylor Botany Medal in 2019. I also served as Student Government Class Treasurer for two years and Executive Vice President my senior year.In 2018, I conducted research with Furman University Biology and the River Basins Research Initiative on freshwater fish populations in upstate South Carolina.In 2017, I took part in a veterinary internship at Falls Road Animal Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Later the same year, I studied in New Mexico and South Africa for a semester. I also spent a month in Belize during my senior year.Even though I am a law student now, I am still very passionate about the environment and conservation. I am always happy to discuss my experiences in law school or before.
