Managed budget and acquisition, hiring and programmatic functions to direct and implement the US Naval Academy Character Development Program.Orchestrated over 50 interactive teaching curriculums exposing future naval officers to current and former flag officers/executives; challenging them on their ideas of morality in the face of 21st century leadership challenges. Directed teams of 39 college seniors in leading the Protocol and Etiquette training program for 4,400 students annually which includes giving briefings to 1,100 personnel at once and frequent high level briefs to executive level officials on program operations.Awarded a Naval Commendation Medal for exceptional work in managing the Character Development Program and bringing much needed advances to the processes and content.

Recognized as “Junior Officer of the Year” in 2014: As an experienced “Junior Officer”, led and trained a crew of 150 sailors while overseeing the maintenance, weapons systems and safe ship navigation during a difficult 6-month deployment; crew also recognized as the top performing crew in 2014Quality Assurance Program Manager: Earned Naval Commendation Medal: From 2012-2015 managed a below average quality assurance training/maintenance program to reach an above average rating with zero noted deficiencies. Managed the quality maintenance practices on board USS Michigan. Acomplishments included:- Grades for the QA Program from third party auditors on USS Michigan were below fleet standards when LT MacAdams took over in 2012, by the mid point of my tenure the program was then rated by the same auditors as above average fleet standards - Developed and Implemented a rigorous Quality Assurance training program that included training for every member of USS Michigan during my tenure - Personally trained every new crew member in Sub Safe practices upon their reporting to USS Michigan (Over 250 people)- Responsible for maintaining the certification of USS Michigan in watertight integrity and diver safety by reviewing every controlled work package generated before, during and following maintenance on critical ship systems which failure would result in catastrophic loss of life (Over 230 work packages certified during tenure)- Mentored and guided each division that performs maintenance on USS Michigan to ensure compliance with applicable source documents
