About Scott Macdowell
I have worked with some of the very best in the industry and taken their teachings along with me. WKBW in Buffalo launched my career and saw many honors along the way. I'm especially proud of EMMY, Murrow, NYSBA and AP awards. Close to my heart is being awarded the National Press Photographers, Photographer of the Year for Region 2 in 2007. Fast forward to the Deep South, CBS42 brought field producing, special project producing, documentaries, day-to-day newsroom managing and logistical planning for numerous events-hurricanes, political, tornadoes, and SEC college football. I was honored to represent the station as the 2012 LIN Broadcasting Circle of Excellence award winner and was selected by my peers. Very proud to win the Edward R Murrow "Overall News Excellence" award in 2014. I was the acting News Director that year.
