I have an entrepreneurial mindset and love diving into complex technological problems in the banking/finance industry. My first three years in industry at Capital One has taught me how to architect complex, compliant, and efficient software in highly regulated industries. Although I am more than capable of writing code and designing systems, my true value lies in the ability to break down complex problems and build value add solutions. I love thinking outside of the box and outside of my day-to-day tasks as a software engineer at Capital One. I enjoy talking with key stakeholders to seek out problems that they face and ideating/building out MVP solutions to solve said problems. I am much more than a software engineer, I am a excellent at asking probing questions and going out of my way to understand how things are done, why they are done that way, and what can be done to make them better.My expertise revolves around payments, back office banking operations, and core banking processes. I am extremely passionate about the payments industry and I love learning about new and emerging technologies in the space such as real-time payments.
