Because of his great work ethics, I promoted Scott from a Senior Technician to manager over the Nashville field technicians. He had about 6 technicians in his team that provided desktop and server support for all of Eastern Tennessee. In his new management role, he was consistently pushing his team to provide excellent customer service, to meet our Service Level Requirements, and complete projects on time and within budget. He had a great relationship with his customers and I received many compliments about Scott and his team. This reflected in the customer satisfaction surveys where every month his team rated in the top 3 Regions (out of the 12 Regional sites I managed). He was also very successful in managing projects. One in particular was the UP/Regions merger. In this project, he converted all of the branch infrastructure for over 150 branches ahead of schedule and with no customer impact. In addition to managing the Tennessee region, Scott also helped me by developing tools within Microsoft Sharepoint that allowed my entire organization (120 + associates) to collaborate and share information. I promoted Scott again to be the Regional Manager for all of Tennessee where he picked up an additional 10 PC/Server technicians. Finally, before I left Regions in 2007, Scott also picked up support of the local telephone field service technicians and his team grew to over 20 field technicians.
