I grew from help desk to network/server admin, to analyst in 2021. I moved to Newberg, OR to take a department lead position, acting as Director with a team of 5 (we grew to 9!) supporting 450 staff and 4100+ students.Over the years, I've found that I enjoy creating with PowerShell, so I built scripts to automate account creation, group memberships, data/directory management, reporting, and basic setup/installations. The most fun projects I've had were all network-related, like equipment lifecycle management, upgrades and replacements, and a few build-from-scratch environments.Other Work:In 2017, I started my own small IT business to provide support to home users and small businesses. This also simplifies accepting some sub-contract support work to help other IT businesses in the area. Recently, I completed a full network equipment replacement for a customer with multiple sites, and moved from a piece-meal network infrastructure to a more standardized system throughout. While I've done some break-fix work, I prefer to have a more managed environment for my clients, with standards that best fit their business needs.
