First-year retail sales are estimated to exceed $10M.► Reversed the consistent downward sales trend of a client in the first year of working with them. In 2020, will take top-line shipments from $5M to more than $10M annually, while increasing overall margin percentage.► Gained mod placement in Walmart of 4 items for a dot-com client with no past retail business, creating $3M in profitable shipments and a foundation to build upon for other retailers.► Took over the entire Private Brand Writing business at Walmart Canada (53 SKUs) for one of our US clients who had 3 items in the US and none at the time in Walmart Canada, creating shipments in excess of $2.5M.► Created brand for an overseas client and used it to sell a pallet position to Sam’s worth over $1M in shipments.► Launched 8 new furniture items at Walmart and drove $18M in annual sales while achieving placement in a national “Made in USA” TV commercial, solidifying their place in Walmart and making it very hard to be deleted. Throughout my tenure, I managed 10 direct reports (Sales, Designers, Logistics, Administration) and reported to the Chief Sales Officer. Some key initiatives and accomplishments include:► Built a local office in Bentonville and staffed the entire team to work with Walmart and Sam’s Club.► Grew the Bentonville business from zero to $26M in 3 years. Promoted to continue with Walmart / Sam’s Club while adapting their business model to other retailers: Target, Costco, Sears, Menards, and Fred Meijer.► Achieved profitable P&L in a poor economy for furniture (2009-2011). Beat margin goal of 20% by focusing on “white space” on the Walmart mod. This was our foot in the door to pursue other mod items.► Developed unique branding strategy that allowed me to use the brands of Thomasville, Lane, and Broyhill as needed within the alternate business channel, giving us an advantage over the competition. This advantage helped drive our business from zero to over $26M in 3 years.► Helped Heritage Home Group get into the direct import business and leverage overseas partners to build great quality at lower costs, thus reducing expenses and improving profit margins.► Developed the furniture business at previously untapped US retailers where we could sell similar furniture sold at Walmart / Sam’s but sell it at higher margins, returning overall stronger margin for alternative business channel. Improved margin 6.1% overall. Show less
