I am an Associate Technical Fellow in the Cabin, Network, and Security (CNS) Engineering organization in Boeing Commercial Airplanes. I work within Boeing to adapt commercial technologies into airplane systems, and I steer the larger industry to support Boeing's needs through collaborative research, industry standards development, and occasional lobby support.I currently work in two technical roles - Onboard Wireless System development, and Single Event Effects (the impact of natural atmospheric radiation on airplane electronics reliability). In both roles, I lead teams of engineers to address design challenges, shape future industry and regulatory direction, and mentor the next generation of engineers to step into similar roles.I also currently lead the CNS Technical Council, coordinating with other members of the Technical Fellowship to ensure design decisions are properly reviewed and documented, and to develop a robust pipeline of early- and mid-career engineers to step into Technical Fellowship roles as needed in the future.
