The Clinical Supervisor of Programs provides direct supervision and clinical and programmatic oversight to Avalon’s Services Team Leads. The Clinical Supervisor provides staff training, team development and clinical guidance on best practices. They also support program planning and facilitate community partnerships.

Oversight of supportive services of a 70 unit PSH apartment building. Including developing and implementing programing, supervision of case managers, peer supports, community builders, older adult services, and home health aide positions. In addition, this position requires on going communication and collaboration with property management and various community partners. Including but not limited to local hospitals, Community Mental Health, and the Ann Arbor Police Department.- Participation and facilitation of Avalon Housing Equity Ambassador Committee. A group dedicated to program/policy DEI work at an agency level.-Provide guidance and leadership for ongoing operations of the team- Coordinate day to day and clinical operations of program- Provide training and oversight to staff to ensure quality of services, proper attention to tenant needs and plans, and adherence to program/agency policies and procedures- Meet regularly with staff to provide effective clinical supervision, support, and mentorship- Conduct performance evaluations of staff - Provide vision and oversight to clinical and community programming needs- Understand and promote among the team all relevant Council of Accreditation Service Standards, including record keeping and privacy requirements, and remain current as standards are updated- Understand and uphold all contractual requirements with partner agencies- Review team clinical documentation to assure current and complete clinical records and progress notes- Facilitate team meetings, groups, and learning opportunities

o Individual counseling and case management of 4-8 clients over the course of a 28 day to 6 month treatment program. Includes creating and implementing individualized treatment plans; supporting and guiding reunification with families; working with Juvenile Probation Officers, schools, guardians, clients, and the treatment team to meet the needs of each client from intake to discharge.o Completion of intake, the Global Assessment of Individual Needs (GAIN), and the Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Assessment (ADAD) assessments to assess the needs of each client.o Facilitate several process, therapeutic, and educational groups including: Encounter Groups, Seeking Safety, Relapse Prevention, Brain and Behavior, Independent Living Skills, Pass Process, Parent’s Group, Multi-Family Group, and Gender Related Issues.o Supervision of Awake Overnight Staff and Undergraduate level interns.o Facility Health and Safety coordinator.o Facilitate regular in-service training on facility health and safety and other relevant topics.

Counseling focused on adjustment to the setting, independent living skills, drug and alcohol addiction, and a variety of mental health disorders.o Co-Facilitate Seeking Safety group for the female population, a Cognitive Self-Change group for inmates meeting the criteria for anti-social personality disorder, and three Relapse Prevention groups.

o Provide in-home personal care and related household services for children with developmental delays and autism.

o Create a positive and supportive environment while role-modeling and teaching respect, problem solving, positive communication styles, and coping mechanisms on a consistent basis, to enhance the confidence and self-esteem of twelve adolescent boys through therapeutic and educational experiences.
