Teaching Initial License Training at South Texas Project.

Helping out the Initial License Training folks. They are running concurrent license classes here for the forseeable future. Trying to over-man operations, somewhat, in order to be able to feed Unit Two as she gets finished.Also helping with Licensed Operator Requal group with exam administration and simulator operations.Additionally, Watts Bar is revamping.

Perform IT duties. That is Instructional Technologist, not Information Technology. Neat time in my work life. Learned some new stuff. Was reminded that I really like technical stuff and non-technical stuff is just as boring as I remember it. Couldn't ask for a better group of folks to work with.

Taught initial license training including classroom, simulator instruction, and booth operation. Got 21 of 22 canidates to license.

This place was the funnest workplace I've ever been in. I am a geek at heart and man did they have geek stuff! The place's purpose was to manufacture printed circuit boards. We made electronics! Here I learned more about PLCs, servo motors, sensors, reflow ovens, conveyors, fibre optic control loops. It was awesome! They sent me to several factory schools.

This place was a really fun workplace. Dangerous though. Lot of injuries. Never to me thankfully. As a lab tech I would do destructive testing on bone shaped samples of aluminum that were processed in the factory. This machine would clamp on to each end of the 'bone' and pull it apart until it broke. It would then tell me the force that was required to.
