-Work collaboratively with the School of Nursing Dean, Associate Dean, RN to BSN Program Coordinator, Graduate program coordinators, and nursing faculty to promote positive academic experiences in the online post-licensure nursing majors.-Deliver inclusive advising to support students in online programs in the school of nursing.-Liaison between school of nursing faculty and students.-Meet regularly with online nursing instructors to promote collaboration and ensure complete understanding of course content, School of Nursing processes and procedures.-Work in partnership with instructors to integrate new strategies to retain at-risk students.-Advise RN-BSN students and BSN credentialed nurses for entry into the MSN graduate program.-Maintain up-to date academic progress information for students including those on a leave of absence as determined by their re-enrollment term and working with students to maximize student persistence via Academic Alert system.-Collaborate with Registrar's office and admissions to coordinate the graduation application process for RN-BSN and MSN students.-Maintain knowledge and familiarity of institutional curriculum and policy, particularly information related to nursing students.-Provide referrals to student support offices including Learning Support Services, Financial Aid, Veterans Services, and Career Development.-Coordinate with the Director of Academic Advising to provide regular professional development and training opportunities for faculty advisors and staff.-Periodically review professional advising literature in order to update or develop advising materials, programs, and procedures for the School of Nursing.
