Scott is the founder and President of CBX [Center for Business Excellence LLC,] -- advising, consulting, and coaching for small business Owners, Presidents, and Management Teams. Scott is a founding member and the Managing Director of New Harbour Partners LLC, -- a Wellesley, MA based Capital Investment Partnership investing catalytic capital in compelling small business growth and transformation scenarios. Scott is the elected Town Moderator of the town of Medfield, Massachusetts since 2003. Scott served as a professor, program director, and lecturer at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College from 1984-2019.Scott is well-known for his successful track record and business expertise in businesses performance, capital raising, business law, operational excellence, business development, navigation of corporate transformation, and the building of strategic teams and relationships. As a business school professor, corporate lawyer, technology executive and trusted-advisor, Scott has spent over 30 years working closely with business owners, entrepreneurs, management teams, and investors. From 1984 – 1991, Scott served as a professor of Law & Management at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He continued teaching as a Program Director and Lecturer in the MBA and MSA programs at BC in the areas of business solutions, high performing teams, management and consulting practice, experiential learning, and business performance improvement. From 1991- 2000, Scott and his partners built White & McDermott, P.C., a leading corporate law “boutique” in the Boston-area. Beyond general business counseling, Scott also successfully managed and closed 40+ private equity financing's, 25+ merger & acquisition deals -- and numerous valuable business transactions, licensing agreements and joint-venturing partnerships. Scott has served as a senior corporate and business development executive in the enterprise software, network security, and electronic security integration sectors. He continues his professional practice as a trusted advisor and executive coach to business owners, executives, and management teams committed to growth and transformation through continuous improvement. Scott has developed and implements tools and disciplines to drive “Good to Great” business transformations for small businesses, professional service firms and emerging companies.
