As the acting SBU EH&S Leader for Filtration Solutions I help support and guide 7 manufacturing sites and 1 lab facility in their EH&S journey. I help roll out new company wide standards and provide insight into what we can do as a segment to have a positive impact on the EH&S culture of the sites as well as the company as a whole.

I oversee all EHS responsibilities at the facility as well as one Safety Coordinator. I work to develop training programs, maintain OSHA compliance, look for ways to reduce spending on safety related items while providing safer and better equipment to the employees.

My time was split 50/50 working on quality and EHS related items. The quality related items were such things as defects, customer returns, and process improvements. The other 505 of my time was spent working on EHS related items such as safety programs, the culture, and improvements to PPE.

I over see the day to day quality aspects as well as the other employees in the quality department. I am the go between for the department and the Quality Manager. I also am involved in the ISO 9001 and 14001 auditing process.

I am the metallurgist for and oversee the metallurgical/chemistry lab.

I work in the Lean Lab of the Turbine Airfoils division of GE - Aviation. I get to work on ways to reduce cost through building/purchasing new equipment as well as look at ways to improve maufacturing process efficiency.

I oversaw a team of 14-17 people that perform a range of mechanical, electrical, and tissue tests on devices built by Ethicon Endo Surgery.

I oversaw the day to day operations of the testing and inspection lab. I ran testing equipment and reviewed the technicians reports and work. I also provided support to the floor for quality related processes and testing parameters. I also worked to improve the efficiency and added more testing equipment to the laboratory.
