A passionate energy and technology industry leader, Scott has been at the front line of the renewable energy and energy storage industry globally for 25 years, and has pioneered the development of new business models and financing structures for energy storage at grid-level and behind-the-meter. Scott has led investment in energy storage and renewable projects across the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia with particular focus on how to leverage infrastructure capital to unlock investment in the sector across a wide variety of energy storage technologies.Scott has invested in and developed $bn's of energy projects globally and has extensive experience in the environmental, mining, finance and technology industries, having advised leading corporations in North America, Asia and Europe. Former positions include finance and development roles for Rio Tinto, Merrill Lynch and Skype Technologies.A respected commentator on the subjects of Energy, Technology and Innovation, Scott is a regularly quoted in both international media and industry trade titles. Scott grew up in Melbourne, Australia, with most of his career based in London, UK, leading global companies in the climate change sector. He has a B.Econ from Monash University, qualified as a Chartered Accountant and MBA from the London Business School. Scott is one of the Financial Times top 50 LGBT business leaders and was awarded in 2021 Fellow of Monash University.
