Scott McPherson is the business line head of US Bank's CRE Specialty Lending Group. McPherson's team collaborates with US Bank's CRE units across the country to originate Subscription Line and non-recourse term facilities. He has more than 30 years of banking and real estate experience as well as over 10 years experience outside the industry operating as COO and CFO of private companies. Mr. McPherson has a BS in Business from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from California State University in Fullerton. He is an active member of ICSC, ULI and an active board member of NAIOP in addition to an advisory board member for the UC Irvine - Center for Real Estate. Mr. McPherson formerly served on the Executive Board of KidWorks and now serves as an Advisory Board member.The 24 major-market real estate groups of US Bank provide a broad range of real estate financial products to well-capitalized commercial and residential real estate developers, operators and investors including public and private REITs, public homebuilders, privately held real estate companies and real estate funds. Products include senior secured and unsecured revolving facilities in addition to secured construction, value-add and mini-perm facilities. Recourse levels are adjusted appropriately based upon sponsorship and risk. Clients are managed within their respective markets and each office will finance projects located throughout the United States.

Responsible for originating large complex non-recourse commercial real estate bridge loan transactions across the U.S.

Structured, organized and hired a team to manage integration of acquired bank portfolios. Rewrote credit policy and designed a software program using artificial intelligence to identify high-risk profile loans requiring special servicing to efficiently manage a $3 billion portfolio of over 3,000 commercial mortgage loans.

Key member of a management team allowed in by special order of the OTS to replace the previous management team and conduct due diligence for acquisition of the troubled institution. Ultimately, an appropriate purchase price could not be negotiated and the institution was taken over by the OTS. Mr. McPherson was retained by the OTS for approximately 12 months to help manage and liquidate the portfolio including management of some actively selling residential communities.
