As a Software Architect, Engineering Director, and most recently, VP of Engineering, I helped Rev grow from $1m in annual revenue and 5 engineers to $100m in annual revenue and 150 engineers working in a hybrid work environment. As VP of Engineering, I worked to influence company strategy, define technical architecture for our products, set product direction, define engineering best practices, improve engineering productivity, manage morale and retention, and recruit and allocate engineering resources. In this role I helped to build a highly effective engineering culture that led to world class engineer retention and drove rapid business growth.

While at 5AM Solutions I served as the product architect for 5AM's Biolocator product. I was the technical lead in charge of both product development and team management. This role required both technical expertise as well as the ability to facilitate client relationships.In addition to my work on the Biolocator I developed applications for use with the Life Technologies Ion Torrent genetic sequencer. I was the architect on all of our engagements with Life Technologies. I designed our solutions and worked with the client to ensure that their goals were met.Lastly, I was the technical lead on a number of projects with the NCI caBIG initiative. In this role I worked with the NCI, our development team, and the research community to produce software the served the cancer research community.

At Vecna I served as one of the lead members of Vecna’s Software Development Board. In this role I was responsible for designing, improving, and enforcing companywide software development and testing processes. I worked closely with the executive team, senior members of management and other senior developers to ensure that the company had the processes in place that would lead to repeatable success. I, along with the rest of the Software Development Board, was also responsible for setting best practices for the use of individual technologies and for reviewing the architectural decisions across multiple projects. Furthermore, I served as the technical project lead on numerous applications for the health care industry.

At Trilogy I developed and deployed web-based configuration and pricing software for Fortune 500 clients. My responsibilities included software development, functional testing, performance testing, client/user interaction, deployment, and issue management.

At 3GI I worked on smart card applications for a the US government and Cisco. My responsibilities included development of smart card based applications, low-level development/diagnostic tools for smart card based applications, and product development and onsite product support for CISCO Networkers conferences.
