Track Renewals: Providing a business focus within the control environment to deliver the best balance between the Route and IP Track. Help develop appropriate contingency and recovery plans to minimize overruns. In the event of major operational incident support the Route to deliver the optimum service that meets the needs of the rail industry and its customers. Collate and distribute information to customers internal and external through various communication systems.

Infrastructure Projects: Control enhancements being made to the railway by monitoring and reporting on major project construction works. Implementing initiatives to deliver the day to day project work plan which included over 500 activities per day. Liaise with various parties, to ensure a smooth and consistent operation, identify potential problems to prevent loss of production, support the delivery of a positive safety culture within the control function.

In charge of my own department including the management and development of staff. Ensured customer service was to the highest standard, and that compliance and guidelines were met to maximize profit. Other responsibilities include monitoring productivity and KPI’s ensuring targets were met, cashing tills, rostering, security and staff processes.
