ACICS grants national certification to member schools seeking new grants, inclusion of branch campuses and on-going certification. Each team is comprised of a discipline specialist, a chair and a representative from Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Each specialist basically reviews the area of expertise indicted in the college/school/university catalog to ensure compliance related areas in the accreditation criteria as a member of each team sent to evaluate the institution and the area specific.

I provide instruction in both the Associates and Bachelor Criminal Justice Degree Programs. Have considerable experience teaching the former "brick and mortar-stand and deliver", augmented delivery (in classroom using on-line platform with no content on the screen, blended delivery in the classroom using on-line platform with content on the screen, pure on-line with students from across the nation in the class and now campus only blend or COBL with students attending from our campus on-line, with other KU students as well from our Mid-West Region. I communicate daily with my classes and coach, mentor and facilitate the students in each UNIT through course completion providing several self-helps to allow them to be successful, competent and proficient in the concepts of each class taken.

Sub S Iowa Corporation that provides specialized training to law enforcement, reserve officers and private security officers to include basic and advanced revolver and semi-auto pistol, shotgun training, patrol officer rifle, scope sight rifle, sub machine gun orientation and training, nigh shooting, police flashlight training and Street Safe Seminars for Women. Certified as a firearms instructor by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and the National Rifle Association. Classes have been delivered state-wide, at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center in Grand Island, NE and at the corporate level of several banks in Central Iowa and for HY-VEE Food Stores (Street Safe Seminars). Have delivered Basic Reserve Officer Training (both weapons qualificaiton and academic classes per the Iowa Code, at several Community Colleges in Iowa to inlcude home based training at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa through adult/specialized education.

The Board held meetings during the conduct of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences Annual Conventions to review key issues and concerns regarding the industry and publications offered by Wadsworth/Thompson, now CENGAGE to address applicability to the subject in question, user friendlyness, and accuracy as an instructional resource. I functioned as an active board member and field practitioner with extensive experience in criminal justice and as a co-chair for conferences during the later years in my tenure.

As an instructor and principle firearms instructor, instructed in both basic training and specialized certification courses both on site and off site. As trainiang coordinator, constructed the yearly training schedule, assisted in the development and implementation of the job task analysis and scheduled various levels of law enforcement education with state and federal agencies. As Assistant Director, supervised and managed daily functions of the academy which is the centralized law enforcement training facility for the State of Iowa. As Acting Director, functioned as the manager of the agency woking with ninety nine sheriff offices, six hundred and ten munniciapalities, several state agencies to include the Iowa Deparment of Public Safety, federal agencies and the governor's office.

Instructed as an adjunct professor and a member of the criminal justice advisory board for six years during my tenure as Assistant Director at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy located on Camp Dodge, in Johnston, Iowa.

World wide assignments when active duty with the United States Air Force and deployments stateside and world wide with the Iowa Air National Guard. Assignments included security forces, anti-terrorism and resource protection, administration, personnel and human resource force management. Retired at the grade of E9 Chief Master Sergeant with 32 years, 6 months and 24 days for pay.

Performed duties as a uniformed police officer for half of my tenure with the agency to inlcude patrol opeations, routine incident response, emergency response, criminal investigation, problem solving, community relations activities and public speaking. As an Investigator/Detective, investigated crimes against property and persons up to and including homicides in a city of 37,000 plus adjacent to Waterloo, Iowa in Black Hawk County, Iowa. Daily engagement in surveillance and iniformational gathering of information and sharing this informattion with all levels of agencies in Black Hawk County.
