• Responsible for companywide purchasing of hose products, fittings, valves, conveyor belting, v-belts and filtration.
• Strategically sourcing materials globally to ensure promise dates as well as quality requirements are met for end users.
• Maintaining and establishing relationships between vendors to ensure proper lead times while maintaining inventory levels at all sites for best possible fill rates to the customer through needs assessment and prior usage
• Responsible for negotiating best pricing, payment terms, return policies, re-stocking fees, freight terms and product rebates while increasing margin dollars and percentage for the company.
• Currently manage approximately 70 suppliers and $40 Million of annual purchases.
• Create inventory reports for the Purchasing Department and other intercompany inventory reports using excel pivot tables while working closely with suppliers, marketing and sales to provide action plans on reducing.

Create and maintain database files for intercompany applications as well as maintaining supplier data and e-catalog information and cost announcements.

Worked on a variety of assignments including raw material price forecasting, Hurricane Crisis Team, Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) global team member. Main tasks included obtaining and creating detailed spend analysis for annual budgeting, identification of top suppliers, regional restructuring and strategic sourcing.
