Scott has been at the University of Colorado System since June 2008 and is passionate about the purpose of Higher Education, working to leverage technology to improve the student, faculty and staff experience. As a collaborative leader, he works with all campuses to ensure the mission is not only met but exceeded. In Fall 2014 he was promoted to Associate Vice President and CIO of University Information Services (UIS), where he leads multi-campus IT services and is supported by a talented team also passionate about making a positive impact. He is fiscally responsible for a $26M+ budget for the university, which includes management of cross-campus IT contracts and vendors. Before joining CU, Scott worked for Accenture consulting for 6 years. He was privileged to work with great teams and great clients in wonderful cities such as New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, and even Melbourne, Australia. He worked in the healthcare, insurance, banking, and telecom industries during his time with Accenture. Scott earned both his MBA in Management Information Systems and BA in Mathematics from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. He has held ITIL and PMP certifications and completed executive programs from Harvard Law School, the University of Colorado, Section4, and MOR Associates. Scott had the privilege of being elected to the Higher Education User Group (HEUG) Board and served from 2015-2020.
