To manage, maintain and deliver a real time computer service to all users and meets the needs of the business. To process, monitor and backup all computer systems and infrastructure in order to meet business requirements, escalating problems when necessary to avoid any adverse impact to the DCT group business. Monitor all computer systems with escalation and ownership of problems to the IT Service Delivery Manager – Operations where necessary • Process and update daily business, providing printed output and other requested media, responding to requests and enquiries from users • Ensure completion of all daily tasks and backup • Test all major processing jobs on the backup systems, liaising with the user to gain acceptance, prior to running in the live environment • Provide and maintain records of tapes held in the tape library • Maintain the availability of all mainframe and critical server systems as service level agreements dictate • Liaise with mainframe and technical staff to ensure minimal system down time • Compile daily reports to include the success of failure of critical backup, anti-virus updates and capacity management of critical servers and infrastructure • Migration of all physical server infrastructure to a new HyperV environment with SAN storage and CommVault backup storage including all systems maintained within a DR environment held within a secure DR location.
