Whether its crash testing cars for ANCAP, writing stories on the latest vehicle technologies or judging for Australia's Best Cars Awards my career has centred around mobility. But it’s future mobility that’s my true passion.Currently I'm the Senior Manager of Future Mobility & Government Relations at Hyundai Motor Company Australia so I get to live this passion every day. Some interesting parts about my automotive journey so far include:• A chance encounter with a fuel cell vehicle while crash testing cars in Korea in 2007 sparked my interest in hydrogen mobility and led to my role at Hyundai• To kick start the hydrogen mobility sector in Australia, I planned and commissioned the first hydrogen refuelling station and imported the world’s first hydrogen SUV to Australia in 2014 • I was the co-founder of Hydrogen Mobility Australia in 2016 (now the Australian Hydrogen Council)• I led the development of what is believed to be the only site in the world that features both hydrogen refuelling, DC fast and AC EV charging stations at Hyundai’s headquarters in Sydney (24 EV chargers in total)• My leadership of Hyundai’s eco mobility strategy has seen the company become the only automotive brand in Australia with all four eco vehicles in the marketplace; this includes battery electric, hydrogen fuel cell, plug-in hybrid and hybridWhether it’s walking the halls of Parliament House meeting with politicians to discuss auto policy, presenting at national eco conferences or talking about the latest eco cars on the nightly news, I will use whatever channel necessary to promote the importance of zero emission motoring to Australia’s clean energy and transport future.
