Currently working as an Exercise Physiologist/Practice Manager. My particular areas of interest coming into this role included musculoskeletal rehabilitation and athletic performance. Since working at Alpha Omega Health I have developed an interest in working with people living with mental illness.

Course delivery and assessment of Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness and Senior First Aid & CPR

Great job where I got experience in small group PT and group fitness classes. Was my first job specifically in the fitness industry and couldn't have asked for a better start.Highlights were my first taste of athletic development in a professional setting and building rapport with clients.

During my time in this role I was responsible for assisting local sporting organisations with funding and club governance, implementation of sport and recreation programs and assist other members of the community services team with their events and activities. The highlights of my time in this role were organising the 2014 North Queensland Sportstar Awards and implementing the Active Schools program which paired local sporting clubs with participating schools to deliver games based learning sessions through the Australian Sports Commisions Active After School program.

I was given the opportunity to fill a temporary contract as Sport and Recreation Officer for the McKinlay Shire Council. As part of my role I was asked to organise and implement the community sport and exercise program for the region, collaborate with the local school to deliver their physical education program, coordinate the Active After-School program and deliver exercise for the elderly through the Home and Community Care program.
