Summary: Position supports senior managements’ and departmental decisions by developing long-term financial forecast, scenario/stress-test analysis of long-term forecast, ad hoc analysis/forecast of what is happening or will happen, and key assumption performance metrics. Position forecasts/monitors cash flow, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investing. Position also maintains banking relationship for treasury services, investment trust, and investment portfolio management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Develop long-term rolling forecast by applying time and volume to pricing models provided by Actuaries. Long-term model splits revenue, expense, cash and balance sheet streams amongst three insurance entities and several vertically aligned non-insurance legal entities. Forecast model also provides projected financing requirements and statutory capital requirements.• Identify and monitor key forecast assumptions and provide feedback to Actuaries and senior management on how those key assumption compare to forecast and/or pricing. • Assist marketing team’s sales forecast with predictive model that converts the forecasted new agent recruiting activity and the run-off of existing agency force into a sales forecast. • Evaluate feasibility of new ideas and recommend changes to enhance desired results. Conduct ad hoc analysis for senior management or departments to determine what is happening or will happen based on given assumptions. • Provide key assumptions to help departments develop their budgets. Accumulate, summarize, and analyze submitted budgets before reviewing budgets with senior management. Monitor budget variances through out year.• Maintain banking relationship for treasury services and investments. Position is required to keep up-to-date on new treasury services or requirements and broad economic/investment trends. • Ensure adequate funds are available to meet ongoing operational needs.
