As Project Director/Senior Estimator, I was tasked with designing and estimating the electrical work for the ground up construction of the new state of the art perpetual greenhouse for the BrightFarms project in Macon Georgia. I used Bluebeam Revu to design the underground conduit systems and power distribution as work was proceeding. A $12 million-dollar electrical project to last 2 years. I laid out all the underground conduit systems with exact measurements for my crew to install. Working from the job site office trailer, I was also the Senior Estimator for numerous other projects for Morse Electric that we were bidding throughout the country.

As Estimator I was tasked with estimating the initial work for the ground up construction of the new state of the art Ford Motor Company Electric Vehicle manufacturing car plant in Blue Oval City, Tennessee. The South Terminal Complex at the Orlando International Airport will be another iconic project for the City of Orlando. The new world-class domestic and international airport terminal will boast 16 airline gates with flexible configurations to accommodate narrow-body, jumbo and super-jumbo aircraft. Including an associated apron/taxiway, the project will encompass approximately 300 acres. Hensel Phelps has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk to construct the 822,000 SF Airside Terminal and will be proving preconstruction, construction, commissioning and close-out phase services for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA). Additional work for the project includes the construction of roadways, aprons, taxiways, lighting, walkways, aircraft loading bridges and security improvements.This project will follow the Sustainable Management Plan (SMP) for a planned Leed v4 BD + C New Construction project. The new terminal is slated to open its doors in 2021.

I have quickly formed a coalition of GC’s that appreciate the work I do for them on all projects, big or small.In the first 3-months at BASS Electric I bid over $8-million of projects, bringing in $5-million in projects. The remaining projects were Design Build, and my numbers were used to obtain the future projects. I have projects I am pricing for the City of San Francisco on large rehab projects, work in large retail build-outs at the Piers, Projects at Stanford University, numerous projects at Genentech, and SF International Airport.

My commercial customers were also my new construction customers. Customers ranged from fast food restaurants to large private country clubs… From small manufacturing shops to large international manufacturing facilities. Maintenance and repair for 260+ Burger King, 160+ Carl's Jr, and 15 Del Taco restaurants, and over 200 Jamba Juice stores in SD, OC, and LA counties.. Maintenance, repair, and new construction for Club Corp of American, Coto de Caza Country Club, Indian Wells Country Club, Desert Falls country Club, Mission Hills Country Club. and La Quinta Country Club. Some of my Industrial customers: Sta-Rite Industries, Hydro-Flo USA, Nippon Express USA, and Brawley Beef (now National Beef in Brawley). I worked with SO Cal Edison, SDG&E, and the California Public Utility Commission to develop an energy management system that would charge electric vehicles during off peak time periods. I designed my own system EV-2000 that was then authorized by the PUC to be manufactured by Johnson Controls. We were able to get 6-million allocated for a test pilot program to install my system in many country clubs to charge all the golf carts off-peak. The system was designed with a PLC and a modem so the savings could be monitored. Installation costs were paid for from the allocated funds. After the 1-year trial we were then authorized to continue installing the system, but at the club's expense. Return on investment was calculated at 2 years. I designed engineered and installed the low-voltage conveyor system at Brawley Beef, which handled the final packaged cases of beef to be shipped. The system was cutting edge technology, and used 24V powered rollers to operate the over 300-feet of conveyor.
