Develops and regularly updates EHS training materials, programs, systems or procedures for individual facilities. Develops new training materials, programs, systems or procedures for moderately complex issues. Trains field operations personnel on EHS programs, systems, policies and guidelines. Advises operations on permits or approvals needed for simple projects along with associated time frames. Works closely with operations personnel to oversee and maintain EHS programs, systems and procedures. Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment, to minimize the hazard potential or environmental impact. Prepares technical materials or independently collects data to assist more senior staff in the preparation of complex air, water, waste or natural resource permit applications or evaluating EHS issues. Prepares simple permit applications. Implements and maintains budgets or other financial information. Prepares formal comments on new rules and regulations for submission to State or Federal agencies. Acts as a company representative for interaction with regulatory agencies, inspections, etc. Determines when to seek advice from Counsel and negotiates potential noncompliance issues with regulators on complex issues. Negotiates simple issues with State, Federal or County regulators.Prepares Policies, Plans and Procedures to be implemented across multiple business units. Develop or oversee development of SPCC plans, construction quality assurance plans, investigation or remediation work plans, etc. Effectively works independently or as a member of a project team or leader of a project team of Coordinators. Manage third party consultants who collect information needed for permits or contaminated soil, groundwater or surface water.Recognized as a Company expert.

Conduct compliance audit inspections at highly visible facilities that generate, store, treat, and dispose of (RCRA) Hazardous Waste and Industrial Waste Streams. Duties also included: training new staff, technical review, and discussions and on-sight meetings with industry representatives on how future process operations would impact them per the regulations. Assist companies with waste minimization, pollution prevention, and waste/product exchange options.
