Inbound Product Management leader for the NetApp flagship ONTAP Data Management. Leading and developing strategies for the core ONTAP business including, NAS/SAN/Object, Automation, Platforms, Manageability tools, Data Protection & Security, along with driving solutions to simplify enterprise application integration. Additionally driving strategies and tools to empower our customers to take advantage of cloud/cloud like features and functionalities whether on-prem or in hybrid deployment models.

Lead the Solutions Enablement, Technical Marketing and Manageability teams within the Hyperscaler group of NetApp. Drove collaboration with sales, engineering, external partners and product management of different divisions to increase revenue, develop new markets, position the NetApp portfolio and provide scale to our IT customers. Focus areas included SW Defined Storage (Openstack, Ceph, Swift), Back Up and Recovery (CommVault, Veeam and Symantec), Analytics (Splunk, NoSQL’s, Hadoop), and Technical Computing (IEEL, Lustre, HPC, video analytics, security). Transformed from a traditional OEM model to a direct customer/channel model that required a significant change to a solutions focus mindset. Technical Marketing, Product Marketing and Product Management all pivoted to specific swim lanes that focused on problem solving aligned with the E-Series technical strengths and building blocks. To expand sales and reach, the team pivoted to focus on 3rd Platform and SW Defined Storage solutions with 3rd party partnerships. Feature enhancement efforts migrated to detailed technical guides targeted to win these growing segments. Key changes in product positioning included: Enterprise Storage/RAID vs. Replication or Erasure code approaches. The team partnered with the Advanced Development team to assess business and market viability of new projects/features to bring them to market.
