Responsible for Safe Work Permits and tailgate meetings. • Supervise and Coordinate Roustabout crews for maintenance of well facilities • Assist Facilities team with construction and Quality Control on an as needed basis including tank batteries, central facilities, and skid packages. • Assist Production Supt. with Operational issues • Act as Liaison between Marathon and outside Gas Gatherer on operational and construction issues and witnessing all meter calibrations. • Maintain and operate gas flow rate test skids for well testing and perform H2S testing on a routine basis for all wells • Compile and analyze production data as needed for engineers and superintendent using TOW production accounting software • Have also assisted with various drafting needs including piping, and civil. Also initially maintained onsite GIS prior to a GIS technician coming onboard.
Operations Technician
Mechanical Integrity: • Performed routine inspection for maintenance and operations including internal inspections of vessels, quality control of PSV testing and inspections, and all required inspections of piping and pressure vessels needed to keep the on-stream program up to date. Also performed inspections as necessary for the gathering systems for the Plant. • Analyzed Inspection data to spot corrosion trends and errant data from the field. Maintained inspection files for the on-stream Inspection program. Created custom reports from inspection database using Crystal Reports and Microsoft Access. • Performed field inspections of construction to ensure engineering standards and drawings were being followed, and that correct materials were being used. Engineering Department: • Performed Piping design per ASME B31.3 and B31.8: including PFDs, P&IDs, 3D modeling of piping and vessels, and generation of isometric drawings for Gas Plant as well as Gathering System. • Field Supervision of construction of compressor stations and gathering system system tie-ins for new wells including design and supervision of Hot-Taps into main pipelines. • Performed various drafting of Surveys, Piping, and other drawings for pipeline projects, including pigging stations and meter runs, and concrete/structural drawings. • Coordinated Field contractors and directed installation of all new gas gathering pipelines, including inspection. • Performed Pressure vessel calculations for designs, repairs, and alterations of pressure vessels under supervision of Plant Engineer. • Maintained Engineering files, as well as all code books in engineering library, including ASME, API, and ASNT. • Member of the Plant/Gathering Safety Council and GAP Analysis Team. • Created Work Orders and Purchase Requisitions in SAP. • Gather and compile data from many sources to assist Engineering departments with various projects.
Inspector / Project Manager
Project Manager (January 1999 – August 2001)Draftsman / Technician (Feb 1996-March 1999)• Tioga Gas Plant, Tioga ND • Helped to design and administer an on-stream inspection program including all process piping, pressure vessels, and PSV’s. Duties included field drafting of piping and vessels, creating CAD drawings of these sketches, and redlining P&IDs. • Performed routine inspection for maintenance and operations including internal inspections of vessels, quality control of PSV testing and inspections, and all required inspections of piping and pressure vessels needed to keep the on-stream program up to date. • Developed multiple databases for plant personnel including a PSV tracking database, database to monitor and track follow-up maintenance on inspection findings, and a Preventative Maintenance Tracking Database. • Scheduled inspections and Preventative Maintenance items for issuing work orders. Designed Custom reports for analyzing UT data from the inspection databases using Crystal Reports.• Allied Signal, Richmond, VA Audited existing on-stream inspection records to determine most cost effective avenue to bring plant into compliance with PSM requirements. After audit, co-developed a working on-stream inspection program for the piping in 4 units of the plant. Duties included classification and verification of P&IDs and PFD’s, field sketching isometric drawings of the piping according to the systematization of the P&IDs, and gathering of baseline thickness measurements.• Hoechst Celanese, Mobile, AL Classified and systematized all P&IDs for the plant, and reworked existing AutoCAD inspections isometric drawings to match the new systematization of the plant. Field sketched and created AutoCAD drawings of piping that had not previously been drawn. Performed ultrasonic thickness testing to establish a baseline thickness for the newly systematized piping and entered all data into the QED data management software.
Cad Draftsman
Responsibilities included creating shop drawings for the fabrication of pressure vessels and heat exchangers, creating bills of material for purchasing department, working with engineers to correct design flaws, preparing drawings packages for submittal to clients, and making sure that as-built drawings were created before the vessel was shipped to its final location. Other duties included programming CNC boring machines to drill tubesheets and flanges, and making sure that all copies of drawings and weld procedures in the various shops were up to date.
