I am a hands on person and have worked in maintenance for over 20 years. I started as an apprentice in the Air Force as aircraft electrician which led me to various positions in aviation. This took me to the transit industry maintaining cars and rail systems. Then I jumped at the opportunity to build airplanes and that has helped me become knowledgeable in all aspects of the manufacturing field. Which brought me back to the maintenance field once again however, in the manufacturing field. To me a maintainer has to have insight, be creative, able to quickly diagnose, repair equipment and be professional. In previous positions, I improved relations between companies by developing an enhanced training program and improved several Preventative Maintenance checklists assisting Maintenance Manager and technicians with job completion. Expertly created a data collection method to process and address causes of monorail delays. This proactive approach along with the implementation of many improvements and suggestions enabled Bombardier to provide public transportation to 7 casinos using 9 trains for the Las Vegas Monorail Company.
