Having excelled academically while at Southeastern Louisiana University, I endeavored to effect change at a local level by running for State Representative. My sudden interest in politics further spurred my writing to advocate local and national policy ideas as a volunteer columnist in local papers. I was a Rating Specialist at the Department of Veterans Affairs for 14 years and was recently promoted to Supervisor (Coach) of the Public Contact team at the New Orleans Regional Office. I have been with the VA for 15 years. Over the years, I’ve become a subject matter expert in traumatic brain injury, ALS, and military sexual trauma claims. I am a certified Elite Master trainer and have provided training to hundreds of Rating Veterans Service Representatives, Veterans Service Representatives, and Decision Review Officers. I’ve received numerous Special Act Awards and Outstanding Performance Awards. In 2021, I was awarded a special coin by the Deputy Undersecretary of the VA. In 2018 I founded Big Easy Magazine. Since its inception, we have broken major stories that have garnered national attention. We’ve been featured in The Hill, New York Times, Fox News, Newsweek, ESPN, the Daily Beast, LGBTQ Nation, Patheos, Business Insider, Government Accountability Project, and many more. In 2019, Big Easy Magazine was awarded the title of “The Most Fearless” by Bayou Brief. In addition, around the age of 26, I began investing in real estate and have been wildly successful.
