My first major achievement was becoming an Eagle Scout. After graduating high school from Thunderbird I joined the US Navy. I served 4 years and as Gunnermates 3rd class petty officer and I left with an honorable discharge in 2007. I enrolled into Paradise Valley community college to take my EMT basic certification class and the following semester completed my Fire I&II state certification class in April of 2008. In August of 2008 I was hired by Rural Metro fire department. I worked as a firefighter EMT in the town of Fountain Hills and received the firefighter of the year award in 2010. During my service with Rural Metro I also worked for Phoenix college as a firefighter mentor and safety observer. I was hired by the Mesa Fire/Medical department in March of 2015 and currently work there. I was chosen to help in a committee meeting where we made changes the the equipment we carry and the ways in which we utilize our current equipment. I was chosen most recently to participate in a training program called nozzle forward and will be utilized as a training instructor by the training staff. Since being hired by Mesa I have been given the opportunity to go to the state fire school 3 times and have become certified and a Fire Instructor I, Fire Instructor II and Incident safety officer (ISO)
