After working in law firms in both Kansas City and Boston, life occurrences have brought me back to Kansas City, eager to start a new chapter of my life. While I am grateful to what I learned in legal records and IG over the past 13 years, I would like to put that experience in a new field, perhaps one that utilizes my creativity in the arts.After graduating from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree, I began working at the just-launched Arts & Entertainment Network in the fall of 1986. For the next 12-1/2 years, I helped develop and curate the tape library as the network expanded, both in size and in the number of networks. The History Channel and digital networks began their respective programming starting in 1994.Up until October 2016, I maintained the Trademark and Patent files for one of the largest law firms in the Midwest, Stinson Leonard Street. I also assisted with the relocation of our library and other divisions' file libraries along with condensing files and paperwork for cataloging in our company's database and shipment to storage. After a brief period of unemployment and temporary jobs over the fall and winter, I began working at FCiFederal in Overland Park, Kansas in April 2017 for the Department of Homeland Security as a General Clerk, cross-referencing names and dates of birth on official immigration documents for any discrepancies. I was an Information Governance Specialist for the Boston, Massachusetts branch of Lathrop Gage, LLP up until October of 2019. I have also been employed in education, retail and manufacturing. In addition, I am a photographer whose work has appeared in various publications such as Rolling Stone and various bands' album graphics. I am also a creative writer, having been the main writer, editor and publisher of a music publication, Chairs Missing, from 1986 to 1995.
