Seattle Public Utilies Water Operations

planning and research of City of Seattle planning and land use, attending pre-construction meetings, documentation of materials delivered and used, coordinating, monitoring and overseeing with various city, county and franchise utilities within the project area, the installation of new water services, leak repair and water main projects installed by SPU. I have experience utilizing City of Seattle Standard Plans and specifications, Special provisions for Capital Improvement Projects, Seattle Public Utilities Construction Standards for Water Main Construction, Seattle DOT and Washington State Manual for Traffic Control, Seattle DOT Pavement Opening Policy and Seattle Public Utilities Water Quality Standards and all permitting processes. Supervising crews and being responsible for the outcome of their work. Frequent contact with contractors to coordinate work schedules with multiple crews, communicate and enforce safety regulations with outside agencies, keep in constant communication and ensure all work is done within the guidelines of City of Seattle Standard Plans and use Maximo to record all documentation, schedule crews and track work orders and input payroll data. I have worked within a culturally diverse environment and am aware of being mutually respectful in a team work environment.

In charge of a 8 person crew that Tests, replaces and installs Water Meters varying in size from 3/4" residential to 30" Purveyor Meters. Also, providing temporary water supply for all contractors working in the city with proper meters and back flow devices for contractors who are building within the city limits. We test Water Meters for private and Municipal use for outside agencies and private homeowners.

Meter Shop

In charge of esting and installation of all water metering devices in the Seattle area to include; Residential 3/4" thru 2". Retail meters from 2" thru 12". Water Purveyor meters for several water districts the Seattle supplies. Also delivery and installation of Hydrant Meter Assemblies for contractors wanting "construction water" for job sites off of our Fire Hydrants.
