This was an engineering role at the Kellogg Company which required Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming and using many other software packages.Worked on large and small capital and expense projects from conception to grave as a contract Controls Engineer and Project Engineer. This role included controls programming, electrical schematic design, regularly writing a scope of work for the projects and bill of materials, writing and maintaining project schedules, managing project budgets, leading meetings, creating drawings, hiring contractors, providing construction support and more.These projects were completed in Kellogg's owned facilities worldwide from initial design, through construction, vendor factory acceptance tests, project I/O checkout, automation checkout, start-up, start-up support and project completion and turnover.Also filled the role of Electrical Maintenance Supervisor as an engineering contractor to the Kellogg Company, Battle Creek, MI cereal facility during Kellogg's maintenance department restructuring. During this time this assignment included supervising union electrical maintenance personnel in the daily activities of the maintenance department.This also included helping build the electrical preventative maintenance program at the Battle Creek Plant, ordering equipment, creating daily work orders using SAP Database Software, and supervising the completion of the work orders and all other electrical maintenance related tasks.Worked with outside contractors and led electrical maintenance personnel to keep all the plant production equipment running during the daily production run.
