I graduated from The University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in creative writing. I then attended The Colorado Media School and took classes in both on-air and behind the scenes broadcasting. I am accomplished in both my volunteer and professional career with more than four years of extensive experience in journalism. That experience includes writing and editing for more than 2 years at the University of Colorado's student newspaper, the CU Independent.I am currently sports director at 1440 KRDZ in Wray Colorado.I have also hosted and produced shows on Mile High Sports, gomilehigh.com and espntherock.com. Running the board while also hosting is no small feat, as I have had to learn to do many different things at the same time. As sports editor for the CU Independent I introduced many new multimedia facets including Twitter and Storify. On top of writing and editing, I also introduced multiple podcasts.I consider myself creative and personable while never losing the work ethic I had instilled in me from childhood. I was born in Walnut Creek, California and attended my first San Francisco Giants game when I was one-month-old. My love of all sports continued to blossom throughout my life as I moved to Thornton, Colorado and Asheville, North Carolina at different parts of my life. Moving around often in my youth helped shape me and gave me a perspective on life few have.I am currently pursuing jobs in any media capacity. I have attended school for broadcasting but have print journalism experience as well.
