Generated a suite of sensor payload simulation code in support of capacity trade studies designed to characterize current and future payload calibration, capabilities and constraints. The series of trade studies is being conducted in support of the development and verification of future payload system integration requirements. Also, developing a methodology, model repository and associated code to aid the generation and ingest of emitter parametric details into System Engineering’s larger analytical simulation environment. The code in development includes emitter antenna aperture pattern generation, antenna aperture pointing assignments as a function of time, emitter duty cycle assignment, emitter track file generation, link budget analysis, and visualization tools using both MATLAB and STK.

- Architect and team leader responsible for upgrading and redeploying Pulstar transmitter systems in support of national systems - Performed timing analysis in conjunction with USNO. Worked to normalize Pulstar timing parameters across worldwide sites.- Uncovered timing biases and compensated for these, to establish the MRC Pulstar as the baseline timing reference for all Pulstars.- Created Antenna Tracking Systems using hardware and software that provide operators with user friendly GUIs that drive the Commstar antenna in a point and shoot or scheduled tracking test manner.- Designed torque analysis modeling tool that was used to counterbalance the Pulstar L-Band horn antenna assemblies- Maintained a suite of analysis tools that characterize RF horn and parabolic dish antennas in terms of gain and beam width per frequency band. This tool provides data for link budget analysis that is used to support hardware upgrades. - Developed power loading analysis tools that are used to balance the electrical loading of multiple power converters. Power conditioning, electrical isolation, UPS and remote command ability features were introduced with this effort.

- Cognizant Engineer for all Antenna, Subscriber Transmitter, and UHF Subsystems. Health and performance analysis of satellite telemetry to achieve a commercial availability rating of 98%. Performed long-term subsystem trending and quick response analysis.- Provided on-orbit anomaly resolution support by conducting RF path hardware failure analysis and by authoring and executing test procedures and programming health analysis tools. Implemented operational resolutions with documentation. - Managed the constellation’s frequency assignments and monitored the downlink spectrum to minimize interference. Prescribed transmit powers that ensured required link margins while complying to a maximum allowable Power Flux Density. - Characterized RF downlinks and uplinks upon four launches and throughout the mission of 36 satellites to validate design specifications. Progressed to Communications real-time lead.- Integration and test representative during the mating of 16 satellites to two launch vehicles. Participated in pre-launch functional testing and maintenance operations.
