As a Business Consultant I am responsible for the digital ambitions of Stater and its clients. I do this by translating market developments, new technologies and customer demands into new digital services and innovations.My job mainly consists of speaking with clients to understand their needs and problems and the context they find themselves in. I combine market research with data analytics to find inspiration for new ideas and to support the right choices. I prepare strong business cases and am constantly prioritizing on the axes of customer value, business value and technical feasibility.I especially try to look for cooperation. Both internally within the organization with other colleagues and departments, but also externally with customers and partners.Stater provides mortgage services and platforms for external lenders with the aim of allowing consumers in the mortgage market to take out their mortgage safely, quickly and without any problems, and to have them managed themselves. At Berenschot I advise companies or groups of companies in the field of strategy, financing and innovation. I do this together with my colleagues by analyzing what is happening in the market around a certain technological theme. We then bring companies from across the working field together, start a program and then facilitate cooperation between these parties. We ensure a flying start by arranging financing (mostly from the government). We then guide these parties to continue to grow until a complete ecosystem is created from which new cooperation and business development arises. Two major projects that I am involved in are printed electronics, in other words printing electronics on mostly flexible surfaces. A project that has now lasted three years with approximately 16 partners consisting of businesses, knowledge institutes and research centers. Another project on smart packaging materials is a continuation of this, which focuses on smart sensors in packaging materials and connectivity in order to create more intelligence in logistics. In this project as well, about 20 parties work together, varying from SMEs, corporate to universities.

My first year at Berenschot I started as a trainee. This means working in the field as a consultant from Monday to Thursday and spend every Friday with a group of 17 other trainees. With this varied group, I experienced courses, training, peer review and personal development for an entire year. The traineeship includes training in project management, strategy training and negotiation. In addition, a lot of time is spent on personal development through personality tests, role-playing, dealing with resistance, conversation techniques and giving feedback. All this to train you to become a professional advisor. This traineeship taught me a lot about myself, my role in a group, that of others and how to deal with this. The variation in the group has also contributed to being open to other perspectives.

AfterPay is an online post-payment method for webshops. Customers first receive their product and only pay afterwards if they decide to keep the product. Here I was part of the marketing team where as a data analyst I was in constant contact with both the IT, finance, marketing and sales department. Using SQL, among other things, I worked on analyses on the extensive customer and sales data from the database. As a result, I provided the data driven substantiation and guidance for all commercial activities of the sales and marketing department, such as campaigns and customer segmentation. I have experienced here how the right data can provide a lot of value for a company, as long as it is interpreted correctly. In addition, privacy and security of the data have always been important themes. Also became familiar with the scrum methodology.

During my master I was not only a member but also chairman of the BokmaClub, an association for students at Nyenrode with a technical background. During this year I was responsible for all internal and external communication, finances, organized events, recruiting new members and managing existing members.

As part of my Master at Nyenrode, I carried out a research project for Tesla for 10 months together with a group of students. The goal for us was to apply our acquired knowledge from the study into practice. For example, we have been able to make several improvements to Tesla's back office and internal auditing processes.

As part of my study in Aviation, I conducted my graduation research at Jet Effective, an aviation caterer. For Corendon Dutch Airlines, among other parties, they provide the daily inflight services, including the provision of food, drinks and duty-free products. For my research, I conducted research on the basis of flight data and sales data into possibilities for more efficient and effective loading of inflight products. I then built a prototype that was field tested on multiple flights and would deliver significant expected savings for both Jet Effective and the airline. In addition to this research, I experienced in practice from the perspective of a caterer how accurately the cooperation between different parties in aviation is. The importance of the correct information and agreements was clearly highlighted here.

As captain of the student promotion team, I was responsible for the student side of promotional activities such as open days and information markets. Here I helped with organising the event as well as informing and guiding potential students. An important task to perform because it gave me the opportunity to transfer knowledge and experience to the next cohort. Something I have been able to get a lot of value from in the past.

For my study in Aviation I worked as an intern for one semester in my third year at KLM Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) in the aircraft interior purchasing department. Here I researched and structured the status and relationship between suppliers and KLM E&M department in a vendor management dashboard. This internship also gave me insight into the dynamics of a large aviation corporation.I also researched and shaped the relationship these organizations have with their suppliers in a Supplier Relationship Management project with multiple purchasing departments from both KLM and AirFrance. Here I was able to provide the blueprint for the tool to implement this within the organization.
