As the IT Manager and Network Administrator at Dowdey, Anderson & Associates (recently acquired by Pape-Dawson), I was responsible for management and monitoring of the company's virtualized infrastructure, high-end workstations, network endpoints and virtually all aspects of our technology footprint. My role as the resident technology expert drives me to ensure the DAA team has every tool at their disposal to continue providing excellent service.Shortly after arriving, I designed and implemented a clustered Hyper-V environment to host on-premise services, including Exchange, SpamTitan mail filtering, Rocket.Chat, file and print services, ADFS, SSTP VPN, Nextcloud file sharing, DoT secure DNS and secured Remote Desktop services. All data is backed up on a rigorous schedule using Veeam Backup & Replication, providing both disaster recovery and numerous file-recovery options.To thwart the rise of malicious actors and ransomware, a Sonicwall is configured to reduce exposure while maintaining access. In addition, FSRM with custom scripted responses is utilized to stop the spread of dangerous file server activity and provide early detection. SpamTitan is employed to protect against email-borne threats, and users receive security awareness training.Dowdey, Anderson & Associates was acquired by Pape-Dawson Engineers in October 2021. As a Senior System Administrator, I will be assisting a team of senior level admins maintain a robust VDI environment experiencing exponential growth.

Responsible for providing ongoing support and maintenance for end-users and a clustered Hyper-V infrastructure. Regular duties include storage upkeep, Exchange Server management, data backup and recovery, hardware break/fix and coordinating with 3rd party vendors for software and hardware solutions. I also work with industry partners to facilitate collaboration for engineering project data, allowing teams on disparate networks to share file structure and data in real-time.
