Additional duties included being the flight line coordinator for Maintenance Control, a duty that was normally assigned to personnel E-6 and above.My training leading up until this point began on August 18, 2000 when I left the Boston MEPS station for boot camp at RTC Great Lakes, IL. After graduation, on October 27, 2000, I checked into the Naval Aircrew Candidate School in Pensacola Florida, graduating on November 22, 2000. I then reported to AE "A" School in Pensacola Florida, where for six months I trained and completed all courses to include all areas previous mentioned above. I was promoted from E-2 to E-5 with this job title. The qualifications I earned while serving at this capacity included MH-53E Plane Captain, Aircraft Handler, Work Center 220 Collateral Duty Inspector, and for flying I obtained MH-53E Utility Crewman (crew chief), Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM) Second Crewman, and AMCM 1st Crewman Qualifications, all while serving with HM-14 in Norfolk, VA, reporting on January 2, 2002 until August 2005.
